With zero wins in their last five NBA outings, the Brooklyn Nets will hope for better fortunes when they take on the Phoenix Suns at the PHX Arena this week.
The two sides met on Tuesday, 20 January as the Suns ran out to a 126-117 win over the Nets at the Barclays Centre. Dillon Brooks found himself in top form as he put 27 points past his opponents, while Nets star Micheal Porter Jr’s 23-point game counted for nothing at the end of the tie.
As it stands, the Suns are seventh on the Western Conference table with 27 wins to their name so far. While the Suns suffered a 111-102 loss against Miami Heat last time out, the Phoenix side recorded three wins and two losses in their last five games.
The Brooklyn Nets are 13th in the Eastern Conference currently and accumulated just 12 victories this season heading into the Suns fixture.
Also, the Brooklyn outfit noted a damaging 126-89 loss against the LA Clippers on Monday as they jotted down five consecutive defeats in the process.

In desperate need of a victory, Brooklyn Nets coach Jordi Fernández believes that his side has not been good enough after enduring a run of heavy defeats.
"Right now, one out of three games, as far as being competitive, is not good enough," Nets coach Jordi Fernandez said.
"We should be three for three competitive, whether you win or lose.
"We have to decide who we want to be, and it starts with everybody's focus and effort. We're obviously going to need the right pieces on the floor that compete at a certain standard."
