As one of Serie A’s most interesting teams this season, Como could stretch their winning streak to three-matches with a trip to Cagliari at the Unipol Domus on Saturday afternoon.
Como are currently fifth on the log after accumulating 48 points from 27 games as they continue their push for a historic European place for next season. Following a decent spell of results, Como are three points away from fourth position which is occupied by AS Roma.
Meanwhile, Cagliari are in 13th position with 30 points from 27 league games after battling to yield a consistent run of positive performances during the last couple of weeks.
Cagliari recorded a 1-1 draw against Parma at Ennio Tardini last Friday, as the Sardinians noted two stalemates, two losses and one victory in their last five league ties. More alarmingly however, Cagliari now find themselves six points adrift of the relegation hot bed.
Como are currently on the back of a morale-boosting 3-1 win over Lecce at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia on Saturday, while the club secured two wins, two draws and a single loss in their previous handful of Serie A assignments.

With Como’s win over Lecce in mind, Cesc Fabregas believes that his side is beginning to show consistency and that they will deliver the goods in the near future.
“These are three important points for us, we show consistency after the strong performances against Milan and Juventus,” Fabregas said.
“I want to congratulate the team for their maturity. This is a strong squad that will deliver in the long run.”
