Golden State Warriors will tussle it out with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season match on 8 March.

Head-to-Head

This will be the 274th regular-season meeting between the two teams since the Thunder were established in 1967.

The Thunder holds a strong all-time edge of 149 wins to the Warriors' 124 victories from 273 games.

Most recent meeting

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Golden State Warriors 131-94 on 3 January 2026, in a dominant road victory at Chase Center.

The blowout was powered by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's efficient scoring and the Thunder's stifling defence, marking their third straight win in the 2025-26 season series.

Key Players

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been dominant for the Thunder as a scoring and playmaking force, controlling games with his mid-range mastery and efficiency while averaging around 31-32 PPG, high assists.

For the Warriors, Jonathan Kuminga or Brandin Podziemski could emerge as key options with Stephen Curry sidelined by his persistent right knee issue, relying on their versatile scoring.

Quotes

“He’s coming off a 24-day injury. There’s a return-to-play process,” Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said when explaining why Gilgeous-Alexander did not play in the extra period of the team's gritty 127–121 overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets on 28 January.

“One of the conditions of getting him on the court tonight is holding him at a certain point, minutes-wise. We actually discussed that situation with both him and [Isaiah Hartenstein] before the game, just so we were all clear in a non-emotional moment that if we were in that situation, that’s what we would do.

“I understand it’s a little unorthodox, but at the end of the day, we’re trying to prioritize the health of our players as they come back from injury.”
