With Atalanta retuning to winning ways in Serie A, the popular Italian outfit will now make the trip to Lecce next Monday as they look to record consecutive league wins.
As one of the clubs competing for a European place this season, Atalanta will resume their plans sitting in seventh place on 50 points from 30 matches.
Atalanta are on the back of a 1-0 win against Verona, while they trail sixth place by four points and fourth position by seven points. I Nerazzurri ended a two-match drawing streak following their win over Verona, having noted two wins, two stalemates and one loss in their previous five games.
Lecce on the other hand, faces an entirely different prospect at the bottom of the table.
As it stands, Lecce are in 18th position on the table, with 27 points from 30 games. While Lecce share the same amount of points to 17th placed Cremonese, Lecce are now two points away from 16th positioned Fiorentina in the safe zone.
Lecce recently recorded a 1-0 loss against AS Roma before the international break, capping off four losses and one win in their last handful of Serie A assignments.

With Atalanta’s win over Verona in mind, Rafaelle Palladino believes his side are back on track since their draw against Inter Milan earlier this month.
“We were 13th, and we managed this comeback. I want to thank Atalanta for giving it their all,” Palladino said.
“We made a great climb after dropping a lot of points at the start. We did well in the Champions League, and in the league, we got everything back on track.
“We haven’t lost at home since the match against Inter.”
