Atletico Madrid will be hoping to put another dent in Real Madrid's title ambitions when they lock horns in an inter-city derby at the Bernabeu on Sunday, March 22, in the late kick-off.
Los Colchoneros have a good recent record against their local rivals and hammered Los Blancos 5-2 in the reverse fixture to make it six games unbeaten in the derby.
Diego Simeone's side is one of the in-form teams in La Liga after a 1-0 triumph over Getafe on March 14, which extended their winning streak to four matches.
Atleti are nine points behind Real in third place but could slash that gap to six if they do the league double over their neighbours for the first time since the 2014-15 season.
The European titans trail arch-rivals Barcelona by four points after suffering back-to-back defeats a fortnight ago for the first time in the top flight this term.
But Alvaro Arbeloa's side bounced back with successive victories against Celta Vigo (2-1) and Elche (4-1) to keep their title hopes alive.

Arbeloa hailed the effort that his players put in against Elche, knowing the importance of their European clash with Manchester City a few days later.
"This match was very important for us. I made a line-up thinking about winning, knowing that we made a big effort on Wednesday and we have to do so again on Tuesday," he said.
"It was necessary to win, and we achieved that with the effort of players who, since I arrived, have constantly shown me what Real Madrid means to them.
"I hope all Madridismo recognises the effort they are making and how they are giving everything for Real Madrid. Hopefully, we can have a season that ends happily for all Madridismo.
"This must be acknowledged to a very committed squad with many injuries, and many of them are stepping up and pushing forward."
