Francesco Bagnaia will be keen to secure an elusive German MotoGP win having narrowly missed out on last year's title.
Most recent race
The Ducati Lenovo Team rider was simply unstoppable at the most recent race on the 2024 calendar which was the Dutch TT on 30 June.
The man nicknamed Pecco started on the first grid and he never looked back as he went on to win the race which saw him collect 25 points.
MotoGP title ambitions
Pecco remains second on the MotoGP Riders' standings having accumulated 190 points from eight races.
The two-time MotoGP World Riders' champion is 10 points behind leader Jorge Martin of Ducati Prima Pramac Racing ahead of the German MotoGP.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2024 German MotoGP
Bagnaia looks unstoppable at the moment having won three consecutive races namely, Catalan MotoGP, Italian MotoGP and Dutch TT.
Having finished second in the 2023 German MotoGP, the Italian superstar will be determined to go one step further and win the event for the first time in his career this weekend.
What did he say?
“I really had fun this weekend and everything went perfectly," Bagnaia said after winning the 2024 Dutch TT.
"I’d like to thank the team because we did a fantastic job: on Thursday we already had a clear idea regarding the bike set-up and after FP1 we were basically ready. The race today was 30 seconds faster than last year, which is incredible.
"I managed to be quick and precise, the weather was fantastic and we were able to show our full potential. Next is Sachsenring, where I expect two hard-fought races.”
