Matchday 3

Roma v Torino

Stadio Olimpico

Rome, Italy

Sunday, 14 September 2025

Kick-off is at 12h30

Roma will be looking to keep their 100 per cent record under Gian Piero Gasperini intact when Torino visit the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, September 14 in the lunchtime kick-off.

Gasperini replaced Claudio Ranieri at the helm in June after bringing an end to his nine-year tenure with Atalanta, whom he guided to third place in Serie A last term.

The Giallorossi recorded back-to-back 1-0 wins against Bologna and newly-promoted Pisa in their opening two matches which sees them in a four-way tie with Juventus, Napoli and Cremonese on six points.

Torino are languishing in the relegation zone after picking up just one point from their first two games, with only Sassuolo (20th) faring worse as they suffered consecutive defeats.

Marco Baroni's side were hammered 5-0 by Inter Milan on August 25, but they improved markedly to hold Fiorentina to a 0-0 draw six days later.

The Bull don't have a good record against Roma in recent times, losing seven of their last 10 meetings and coming out on top just once - on 18 April 2021 when they ran out 3-0 victors in Turin.

Artem Dovbyk has yet to start under Gasperini, who preferred new signing Evan Ferguson up front in both games, but the Italian dismissed suggestions that he's unhappy with the Ukraine international.

"Dovbyk had a break at the start of pre-season, but in working with me he has shown himself to be a very positive player, just like the rest of the team. He has always given his best, and I have no complaints about him," Gasperini said.
