Following five rounds of action in
Serie A so far, Verona remain without a victory in the league as they prepare to take on Sassuolo on home soil this Friday.
Sitting in 16
th position, Verona could only manage three draws and two losses in their opening five fixtures to the 2025/26 campaign.
Verona last recorded a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Roma this past Sunday, which came on the back of consecutive draws against Cremonese and Juventus.
Sassuolo on the other hand, picked up their second win of the season when they recorded a 3-1 victory over Udinese at the Mapei Stadium on Sunday, 28 September.
The Black and Greens were supplemented by efforts from Armand Lauriente, Ismael Kone and Edoardo Iannoni en-route to collecting maximum points on their own patch.
As it stands, Sassuolo are in 12
th place after jotting down three losses and two wins in five matches so far.
Following Sassuolo’s result at the weekend, the club took to their website and revealed that they have already turned their attention to planning for Friday’s encounter with Verona.
“The players who took to the field in yesterday's match completed some recovery work, while the rest of the team began with prevention work in the gym, followed by technical drills and high-intensity matches on a small pitch,” Sassuolo expressed on their website.
