Cesc Fabregas and his Como side have been doing wonders in
Serie A this season as they look forward to a tricky Parma test this weekend.
Como ended matchday seven in sixth place after picking up a morale boosting 2-0 victory over giants Juventus on the weekend. Juve managed to hold most of the ball throughout the encounter, however, goals in either half by Marc-Oliver Kempf and Nico Paez saw Como walk away with maximum points in their own backyard.
With only one loss to their record so far, Como have now collected three wins and three draws and accredited themselves 12 points on the table.
Parma on the other hand, are enduring a sticky spell of late which includes an inconsistent run of results.
The iconic Italian outfit were reduced to 10-men in the first-half of their 0-0 draw with Genoa last Sunday, as Abdoulaye Ndiaye’s sending off greatly impacted the outcome of the match.
As it stands, Parma are 15
th on the standings, with one win, three draws and three defeats to their column after Sunday’s fixture.
Fabregas was seen rallying his troops after Como’s win over Juventus, with the former Arsenal and Chelsea star took the motivational route to laud his player’s efforts.
“We run. 1 minute, 20 minutes, 10 minutes, I don’t care,” Fabregas sad.
“You need that mentality to win at this football club, in this team.
“Thank you so much, let’s keep going.”
