Serie A this season, Atalanta will welcome a struggling Lazio outfit to the Gewiss Stadium on Sunday evening.
Sitting in sixth place on the table, Atalanta will go into their next game on the back of consecutive draws with both Juventus and Como respectively.
With four draws to their name in total, Atalanta recorded just two wins so far, namely against Lecce and Torino last month.
As for Lazio, Biancocelesti recorded two wins, two defeats and one draw in each of their last five league outings.
The popular Italian side last recorded a 3-3 draw with Torino and are currently 13
th of the log.
Reflecting on Lazio’s troublesome campaign, coach Maurizio Sarri expressed that he needed to change his style of play to suit the current profile of players he has at his disposal, amid their transfer ban.
“We’re changing based on the players’ traits. I’m more suited to a ball-playing team, but this is a team that accelerates and needs to counterattack and find space,” Sarri said.
“Then we need to see if we can find balance, otherwise there’s no point in scoring two goals a game and conceding two or three.
“The player situation will force us to change formation at times: either we get someone back or we need to look for other solutions.”
