With AS Roma currently in the running for the 2025/26 Serie A title, Gian Piero Gasperini’s AS Roma will hope to keep up with the pace set by Inter Milan when they take on Cremonese at Stadio Giovanni Zini on Sunday.
Roma have slowly gone about their business this season and ended matchday 11 sitting in second-place, level on points (24) with log leaders Inter Milan.
The popular Italian side picked up three wins and two losses in their last five league fixtures, with the latest result being a 2-0 win over Udinese before the international break.
Cremonese have contrasting fortunes after their latest league assignment and occupy 11th position with 14 points to their name.
As far as their form sheet is concerned, Cremonese jotted down just one win in their last handful of Serie A obligations. Along with their stuttering form, Cremonese are on a two-match losing streak after losses against Juventus and Pisa respectively.
Reflecting on Roma’s chances of bagging the 25/26 Serie A crown, Gian Piero Gasperini expressed that there’s a new found ‘belief’ within the squad.
“The players, with their attitude and behavior, believe in it in every match,” Gasperini said.
“We’re only at the beginning of the journey. When you have a beautiful dream, it’s already something good.”
