World no. 45 Michael Kim will go in search of only his second victory on the PGA Tour at the Byron Nelson from 21-24 May.
It has been eight years since the American won his maiden title when he carded a 27-under 257 to beat Bronson Burgoon, Joel Dahmen, Francesco Molinari and Sam Ryder by eight strokes at the 2018 John Deere Classic.
Kim almost ended his drought at the Texas Open last month with rounds of 72-65-66-69 to finish one stroke behind winner J.J. Spaun in T2.
That has been the 32-year-old's only top 10 this year and he missed the cut at the Masters Tournament before managing T44 at the PGA Championship most recently.
Kim revaled he almost shared a similar fate to Garrick Higgo, who had been handed a two-stroke penalty for being late on the tee in the opening round at Aronimink.
"+3 start. I got into a decent rhythm in the middle and got it to even par but struggled coming in," he wrote on X after shooting 73 in the first round.
"I was almost late to my tee time too. Because 1 and 10 share one tee box, tee times are in 5 min intervals between 1 and 10.
"[Jordan] Spieth teed off on 10 at 8:41, me off 1 at 8:46. I was putting until the entire group teed off. But because I'm used to 10 min gaps between a group teeing off, just out of habit I was walking leisurely but by the time the last guy teed off on 10, it was 8:43.
"I then briskly walked to 1 tee. Not an excuse and idk (I don't know) what Higgo exactly thought, just sharing my experience."
