Matchday 37

Chelsea FC v Tottenham Hotspur

Stamford Bridge

London, England

Tuesday, 19 May 2026

Kick-off is at 21:15

Chelsea FC will look to secure a crucial Premier League win when they host fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur on 19 May in a London derby.

Head-to-head

The two sides last met earlier this season on 1 November 2025, when Chelsea secured a 1-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Since the Premier League began in 1992, the two clubs have met 67 times in the top flight: Chelsea have won 38, Tottenham have won eight, and 17 matches ended in a draw.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea boast a good record against Tottenham.

The last meeting at Stamford Bridge ended in a 1-0 win for Chelsea on 3 April 2025.

Team News

Chelsea are expected to be without Robert Sánchez, Estevão, Jamie Gittens and Jesse Derry. Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho are doubts.

Tottenham Hotspur will be missing several key players including Xavi Simons, Richarlison, Cristian Romero, Mohammed Kudus and Wilson Odobert. Dominic Solanke and Guglielmo Vicario are doubts.

Quotes

“Spurs are coming up really quickly, so you have to recover well. We’ve got the FA Cup final as well, but Spurs is the next one and it’s a big derby," Chelsea's interim manager Calum McFarlane said after their 1-1 draw at Liverpool FC on 9 May.

"We’re not happy with the form and some of the recent performances. So, yeah, it’s nice to have a good, complete performance. It would have been better with a win, but when you come to these places, it’s really difficult. So, yeah, it’s positive.

“We have to leave the pressure now and just think about the next game because that’s the only important thing. The focus should be only on Spurs and what we have to do to get there with the best possible preparation and emotional state to deliver and win again.”
