With San Antonio Spurs’ star Victor Wembanyama and New York Knicks’ talisman Jalen Brunson under the spotlight in the upcoming NBA finals, here’s a look at the key numbers from the two players heading into Game one on Thursday.

Wembanyama has undoubtedly been one of the best players in the NBA this season after covering a number of key metrics in style.

As it stands, Wembanyama currently tops the blocks per game statistic with 3.5 on average, with his nearest competitor being Detroit Pistons star Ausar Thompson with 1.8 in second position. 

In addition to Wembanyama’s defensive prowess, the 22-year-old is only second to Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic for Rebounds per game with 10.8 on average.

As for Brunson, the New York Knicks star is thirdon the Points per game chart (26.9), with only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Cade Cunningham boasting a better return.

Brunson also leads the New York Knicks Assist per game tally (6.6), however, the 29-year-old is currently ninth in the NBA for the aforementioned statistic.
