As a contender deprived of success on the PGA Tour, USA Golfer Cameron Young will be one to watch as the 2025 Rocket Classic draws closer.
What to know about Cameron Young
Prior to his professional career, Young’s upbringing at amateur level looked promising. Beginning in 2015, Young claimed the U.S. Collegiate Championship, Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational and MGA Ike Stroke Play Championship.
In the following year, Young once again bagged the MGA Ike Stroke Play Championship before he went on to claim the General Hackler Invitational, Augusta Haskins Award Invitational and Stitch Intercollegiate in 2019.
As a professional, Young is a two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner.
What did he say
Young is hoping to have his caddie, Kyle Sterbinsky, back for the Rocket Classic, after he fell ill during the recent Travelers Championship.
“He was just feeling sick, and I don't want what he has, and I don't want any of my kids to have what he has. Figured just give him an extra day to recover," Young said.
"I'm sure he could have come out here if his life depended on it. But with my dad here and just not wanting to get anybody else sick.”
