Canadian Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver claimed a podium spot at the Spanish Grand Prix on June 1, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Piastri started on the first grid and went on to win the race, achieving his 18th podium in Formula One, while also receiving 25 points for winning the event.
Formula One title ambitions
The Alpine Academy product is placed at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings, having collected 186 points.
Piastri is 10 points clear of second-placed Lando Norris of McLaren and 49 points ahead of third-placed Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing.
Why Piastri could win the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix
The 2020 FIA Formula 3 champion has been the best driver in the current season, recording more Grand Prix wins (five) than any other driver.
Piastri, who has secured a podium finish in each of his last eight races, is a clear favourite to win the Canadian Grand Prix due to his current form.
What did he say?
“I’m feeling very positive and focused heading to Montreal," Piastri said ahead of the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix.
"It’s a good opportunity to keep up the strong momentum and I’m looking forward to taking on the fast, low-downforce track. The win in Barcelona was a good all-round weekend for me and I’m happy to get straight back to racing after the weekend off.
"The team are doing a great job across the board and together, we continue to push thanks to all the hard work.”
