Maverick McNealy will be challenging for his first victory of 2025 at the
3M Open which gets underway on Thursday, July 24.
The American, who is the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 18 in the world, is set to make his fourth appearance in Blaine, Minnesota.
McNealy achieved his best result last year when he finished two strokes behind winner Jhonattan Vegas (VEN) in third place after carding a 15-under 269.
The 29-year-old golfer has just one TGA Tour win to his name - the RSM Classic in 2024 - and he's claimed five top-10 finishes out of 21 tournaments this year.
McNealy narrowly missed out on his second Tour victory after finishing one stroke behind Ludvig Aberg (SWE) in second place at the Genesis Invitational.
The son of billionaire Scott McNealy recently called on the PGA Tour to include more events in the Northeast of the United States, with the Ryder Cup scheduled to take place at Bethpage in New York in September.
"The New York fans will be pretty special to play in front of," McNealy said. "Side note, I think it's crazy that the Tour do not play more in the Northeast with the sports fans and everything that you have got going up there.
"The golf courses up in that part of the country are unbelievable. I am sure there is a huge opportunity there, and I'm really hopeful that we get to go and play some more golf up there soon."
