Ben Griffin will be targeting his third victory in the 2025 PGA Tour season when he tees off in the John Deere Classic.
What to know about Griffin
The American golfer turned professional in 2018 after graduating from North Carolina and began playing on the PGA Tour Canada.
Griffin has so far won three professional tournaments, including two on the PGA Tour and one on the PGA Tour Canada (2018 Staal Foundation Open).

The 29-year-old was in action in the most recent PGA Tour event in 2025, which was the Rocket Classic in Michigan, USA, where he finished 13th.
Griffin is currently placed 17th on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), and his best overall ranking is 15th place.
Why Griffin is among the favourites
The former Korn Ferry Tour player is enjoying his breakthrough season on the PGA Tour, having won two events, the Charles Schwab Challenge and Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Griffin is also coming into the John Deere Classic as the highest ranked golfer in the OGWR among those, who will compete in the tournament and he is the clear favourite to win the event.

“The scrambling is what put me in this seat here today,” Griffin said after winning the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge.
“I'm very confident in my short game. I credit that going back to junior golf. My parents did so much for me growing up. I know they sacrificed a lot for me, and I credit a lot of my success down the stretch today to my short game.
"It kept me in it, and that's what I did as a kid. That's what helped my short game be so good down the stretch today.”
