Following a valiant effort at the recent
Belgian Grand Prix, Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton will turn to the Hungary Grand Prix with much optimism this weekend.
Hamilton, who started in the pit lane on Sunday afternoon, weaved his way up the pecking order to finish in P7 at Spa.
Much of Hamilton’s success in Belgium was down to Ferrari’s latest reprofiled rear suspension upgrade, which improved the balance of the seven-time world champion’s SF-25 Challenger.
Taking to his Instagram account after the race at Spa, Hamilton expressed his confidence heading into this weekend’s racing action.
“Pit lane to P7, we were faced with some difficult moments so to finish on a high note gives me real confidence heading into Budapest,” Hamilton wrote.
“Big thanks to everyone at the track for the massive effort, and the team back at Maranello for their continued hard work.
“This upgrade is a really positive step forward and I’m excited to explore it more next week. now time to build momentum from here
As an eight-time winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix, the most in Formula 1 history, Hamilton last tasted success in Budapest in 2020.
Nonetheless, the popular Brit sits in sixth position on the Driver’s standings, with 109 points to his name so far.
