Jordan Spieth will be determined to win the John Deere Classic for a joint record three times - emulating D.A. Weibring and Steve Stricker.
What to know about Spieth
The American star won his first PGA Tour title at the 2013 John Deere Classic at the age of 19 defeating David Hearn and Zach Johnson.
Therefore, Spieth became the youngest winner on tour since 1931 and put his PGA TOUR career into high gear, and he has so far 16 professional tournaments in his career.

The experienced golfer took a short break from professional golf after competing in the 2024 Travelers Championship where he finished 63rd.
Spieth is placed 32nd in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is 1st place which he achieved for the first time in 2015.
Why Spieth is among the favourites
Spieth won the 2013 John Deere Classic after he holed a stunning bunker shot on the 18th green that would get him into a three-man playoff and won it with a par on the fourth hole of sudden death (18th).
The 30-year-old then won his second John Deere Classic title in 2015 after another playoff win with a par on the second hole of sudden death (18th) over Tom Gillis, and he is now targeting his third win this weekend.
