Lewis Hamilton will be determined to secure a record-extending ninth British Grand Prix victory when he competes in his home country.

The Mercedes driver narrowly missed out on a podium spot at the Austrian Grand Prix on 30 June which was the most recent race in the 2024 Formula One World Championship.
Hamilton started on the fifth grid and he went on to finish fourth - collecting 12 points and also picked up three points from finishing sixth in the sprint classification.
Formula One title ambitions
The 39-year-old British sports icon is placed eighth on the World Drivers' Championship standings having accumulated 85 points.
Hamilton is 152 points behind leader Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing and 26 points behind seventh-placed George Russell of Mercedes.
Why Hamilton could win the 2024 British Grand Prix
The seven-time Formula One world champion's form has improved having finished in the top four in the last three races including a third-place finish at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Hamilton knows how to win the British Grand Prix having won the race a record eight times and he also secured a podium spot in last year's race - finishing third.
What did he say?
"Congratulations to George and the team. Everyone at Brackley and Brixworth really deserves this result. They have worked so hard to bring performance to the car and we are starting to get us closer and closer to the very front," Hamilton said after the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix.
"We put in so much effort so to get a result like this is a well-deserved reward for everyone’s efforts. From my side, it wasn’t the cleanest weekend. I picked up some damage early on and that compromised my race, unfortunately. We now look ahead to Silverstone.
"It is always such a special weekend, and I can’t wait to see all the fans there. It is a track that should hopefully suit us a little better than here in Austria so let’s see what we can do."
