With Juventus among the teams charging for a spot in European competition next season, the Italian giants are preparing to face a wounded Parma outfit on away soil this weekend.

Juventus shocked the Serie A fraternity during Matchday 22 this past weekend by recording a convincing 3-0 victory over reigning champions Napoli on Sunday.

Currently in fifth position, Juventus have accumulated 42 points after 22 games played, 10 away from the log leaders Inter Milan. However, Juventus are now within a point of fourth-placed Napoli as the race for UEFA Champions league football rolls on.

Overall, Juve jotted down three wins, one draw and one defeat in their last five ties while Parma are in 15th position, with two losses, two draws and one victory in their previous five games.

Parma suffered a damaging 4-0 defeat against Atalanta last time out as they sit in 15th position ahead of this weekend’s action.

In the wake of Juventus’ major win over Napoli, coach Luciano Spalletti heaped praises on Weston McKennie, who scored his third goal in four matches.

“McKennie is a perfect central striker," Spalletti said.

“He fights, he's strong in the air and he can jump high. He plays to get results because he makes decisions. He would be a perfect striker."

“He showed he can hold his own in the box where there is no space.

“If you put all your strength into those moments, you get the reward. He scored like a proper striker.”
