AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has urged his side take it one game at a time amid their challenge for the 2025/26 Serie A trophy as the popular Italian giants prepare to take on Pisa in the first Matchday 25 fixture on Friday night.

Milan will enter their next Serie A assignment sitting in second position on the log, eight points behind leaders and arch rivals Inter Milan.

The legendary club amassed 50 points from 23 games played so far and jotted down a morale boosting 3-0 win against Bologna in their most recent league outing on 3 February.

Milan’s recent form hasn’t been without hiccups during the last couple of months and recorded three wins and two draws in their last five Serie A matches.  As for Pisa, I Torri are currently on a run of three draws and two defeats in their previous handful of league fixtures.

Pisa recorded a 0-0 draw with Verona last time out and are winless in their last 13 Serie A matches. While Pisa occupy 19th on the table, six points from safety, the club last tasted victory on 7 November 2025, where they bagged a 1-0 win against Cremonese at Stadio Romeo Anconetani.

Speaking on Milan’s title challenge, Massimiliano Allegri placed more emphasis on teams lower on the table with the hopes of maintaining their form throughout the campaign.

"Inter have been fighting for the Scudetto for six years. This year we changed many players,” Allegri said.

“To achieve great results until the end of the season, we must watch who is below us. Tonight is a good win.

“Now we have a few days to recover, then we will focus on the match against Pisa, which will be tough. They are a tough team; we drew 2-2 in the first match. We take it one step at a time."
