Liverpool FC will seek vengeance when they take on Manchester City in a high-profile Premier League encounter at Anfield on 8 February.

Current Form

The Reds claimed a 4-1 win over Newcastle United at home on 31 January and it was after their 10-match unbeaten run in the league was ended by AFC Bournemouth.

However, Liverpool are undefeated in their last six home matches in the Premier League, having recorded four victories and two draws at Anfield.

Meanwhile, City drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur at home on 1 February, as they extended their unbeaten run to two games in the English top-flight.

However, the Citizens are winless in their last three away matches in the Premier League, having registered two draws and one defeat as the visitors.

Team News

Liverpool have a long injury list which features Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Stefan Bajcetic, Jeremie Frimpong, Joe Gomez, Alexander Isak, and Jayden Danns.

Manchester City, on the other hand, have Jeremy Doku, Mateo Kovacic, John Stones, Savinho, Josko Gvardiol, RĂºben Dias, and Rayan Cherki on their injury list.

Quotes

"It was brilliant. It was a big performance. We were all really ready to fight, to run back, run in front, counter-attack and defend the set-pieces," Liverpool star Milos Kerkez said after his side's win over Newcastle.

" [We had a] great mentality and if we are like this every week then there will be big things. I hope that now we rest, celebrate this and then next week again here in Anfield with [Manchester] City.

"The fans are unbelievable and we want to give them good moments and I hope there's going to be many more."

Head-to-Head

City thrashed Liverpool 3-0 in their last meeting in the league, which was in November 2025 at the Etihad Stadium.

The win snapped the Citizens' four-match winless in the league against the Reds, who had recorded two wins and two draws.
