Aldrich Potgieter will be hoping to make more fond memories in his second appearance at the
Nedbank Golf Challenge from 4-7 December 2025.
The South African was given a personal invitation by Gary Player for the event in 2024 and almost pulled off a surprise win on his debut after leading by three strokes heading into the final round.
However, Potgieter shot a disappointing 75 to finish one stroke behind winner Johannes Veerman in a three-way tie for second, having missed a 10-foot putt on the last hole to force a playoff.
The 21-year-old, who is known for his prodigious length of the tee, narrowly missed out on his first PGA Tour win when he finished second at the Mexico Open in February.
But success was soon to follow as he claimed his maiden victory at the Rocket Classic in June, one of three top 10s on the PGA Tour in 2025.
Potgieter spoke glowingly of his first experience in Sun City 12 months ago as he got to tee off in front of the legendary Player, in whose honour the tournament is being hosted.
"My first experience of the Nedbank Golf Challenge last year was so memorable. I'll never forget the crowds on the Saturday when I was leading, and the amazing support from the South African fans," he said.
"To walk onto that first tee box and hear the cheers, and then to have Gary Player sitting there as well are some of my fondest golfmemories. I can't wait to get back to Sun City and experience it all again."
