Lando Norris will be hoping to win the
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and clinch the Formula One world title for the first time in his career.

The McLaren driver failed to secure a podium spot at the Qatar Grand Prix on 30 November, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Norris started on the second grid, and he went on to finish fourth, but he finished third in the sprint event, which saw him leave the Qatar Lusail International Circuit with 18 points.
Formula One title ambitions
The 26-year-old is still placed at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings, having accumulated 408 points with one race left.
Norris is 16 points ahead of third-placed Oscar Piastri of McLaren and 12 points clear of second-placed Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing.
Why Norris could win the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The 2017 Autosport Awards National Driver of the Year returns to the Yas Marina Circuit, where he was crowned champion of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Boasting seven victories in the current season, Norris has his own destiny in his hands as he will be crowned 2025 Formula One world champion in the UAE if he finishes ahead of both Verstappen and Piastri.
What did he say?
"Frustrating result, we didn't get it right today, but hindsight is a wonderful thing," Norris said after the 2025 Qatar Grand Prix.
"There was obviously the opportunity to finish higher, but we'll debrief as a team and come back stronger next week.
"We'll now ensure our focus switches to Abu Dhabi and do what we can to deliver the best possible result next weekend."
