AS Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini has urged the club to make improvements in the transfer window as the Italian giants prepare to take on Bologna at Stadio Olimpico in their 2025/26
Serie A opener.
Roma will go into the new season on the back of a busy pre-season, while the last recorded a 2-2 draw with Noem last Saturday. Prior to their stalemate against the Saudi Arabian outfit, Roma bagged victories against FCK, Cannes, Lens and Everton while they also suffered a 4-0 loss against Aston Villa earlier this month.

Bologna featured in four pre-season matches during the month of August, which included wins against Stuttgart and Levadiakos. The Italian outfit also jotted down defeats to Vis Pesaro and OFI Crete respectively.
Speaking ahead of the season, Gasperini expressed that he expects the club hierarchy to improve the squad in the current window.
“This is a team that has quality and we must try to improve it,” Gasperini said.
“There is great clarity with the club and we share ideas on what needs to be done. We’ve not had anyone new come in for three weeks now.
“If possible, we should get some new players without losing any. I have been very clear with the club about what needs to be done. Now we just hope that we can do it.
“We must see what we can do from now to the end of the transfer window, because everyone knows the financial fair play situation.”
