As another club chasing European football for next season, AS Roma will take on Bologna in their next Serie A obligation as they look to get back to winning ways.

The popular Italian side will enter next weekend’s fixture on the back of 1-1 draw with Atalanta during Matchday 33. Roma have now noted 58 points from 33 games so far as they occupy sixth position on the log.

Also, Roma stand in line to finish within the Conference League and Europa League this season; a win against Bologna will serve them well in this regard.

Regarding their form sheet, Roma recorded two wins, two losses and one draw in their last five games, while Bologna noted three victories and two defeats in the same number of games.

Bologna currently holds eighth place on the standings, with 48 points from 33 fixtures. I Rossoblù failed to capitalize on a two-match winning streak last time out following a 2-0 loss to Juventus during Matchday 33.

European qualification looks highly unlikely for Bologna at this stage as they sit 10 points behind Roma in sixth place.

Following Roma’s draw with Atalanta, Gian Piero Gasperini said that his side struggled to improve on finer details in their game play while referencing high-profile matches that they should have won.

“There have been times, like against Juve and Napoli, when we were in front. We played really well against Milan,” Gasperini said.

“It's true that we lost in Como but we were down to ten men. With the others we never lost. We had that game against Inter but in these head-to-heads we've always done well.

“We've always been closer to winning them. Sometimes it comes down to small details.”

Head-to-head:

Games: 40

Bologna wins: 10

AS Roma wins: 18

Draws: 12
