Paris Saint-Germain will go in search of another triumph over Liverpool when the teams meet in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal, set for the Parc des Princes on the evening of Wednesday 8 April, kick-off at 21:00.
PSG, who eliminated Liverpool from last season’s Champions League, earned their place in this quarterfinal by edging past Monaco 5-4 on aggregate in the playoff round, followed by an impressive 8-2 dismantling of Chelsea in the last 16 round.

The Parisians racked up a 5-2 home triumph in the first leg – inspired by late brilliance from Kvicha Kvaratskhelia – before totally outclassing the Blues in the return leg at Stamford Bridge, as goals from ‘Kvara’, Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu swept them to a 3-0 win in London.
"Everybody - especially those who compete in the Champions League - respects us because they know how we try to play football," noted PSG coach Luis Enrique. "The respect that we have and that we feel from other teams is great. It's nice to be in this team – we are looking forward to playing in the next round."
PSG were in action on Friday night, defeating Toulouse 3-1 at home to keep up their quest for yet another Ligue 1 title. The French side will be hoping Bradley Barcola can recover from an ankle strain to face the Reds in midweek.

In head-to-head terms, PSG and Liverpool have met in six matches, dating back as far as the 1996-7 Cup Winners’ Cup. Both teams have recorded three wins, with zero draws between them.
The Parisians and the Merseysiders met in the last 16 round of last season’s Champions League, with each team winning 1-0 away from home for a 1-1 aggregate tie. PSG then won 4-1 on penalties to advance, going on to win the tournament for the first time.
