2025-26 Spanish La Liga

Matchday 31

Osasuna v Real Betis

Estadio El Sadar

Pamplona, Spain

Kick-off is at 14h00

Real Betis will be determined to get their Europa League qualification back on track when they make the long journey to northern Spain for an encounter with Osasuna at El Sadar on Sunday, April 12 in the early kick-off.

El Glorioso had put themselves in a strong position to finish in the top five of La Liga after losing just three of their opening 17 matches and picking up 28 points in the process.

But Manuel Pellegrini's side have struggled for results since the turn of the year, winning only four of their next 13 games to open the door for Celta Vigo, Real Sociedad and Getafe in the race for fifth place.

A 0-0 draw with Espanyol on April 4  left Betis winless in their last six outings and saw the Sky Blues close within a point of them in sixth spot.

Los Rojillos could also enter the frame for Europe as they are just six points behind Celta in ninth position, although they haven't managed to beat Betis in their last five meetings.

Alessio Lisci's side followed up their 1-0 victory over Girona with a 2-2 draw against Alaves on April 5 to go level with Espanyol (10th) and Athletic Bilbao (11th) on 38 points.

Lisci admitted the Babazorros' 91st-minute equaliser from the penalty spot left a bitter taste in the mouth after Ante Budimir had put them ahead with a spot-kick of his own on 80 minutes.

"It's a shame because when you're so close to winning, you end up with a bitter taste," he said. "Overall, I don't think the draw is a bad result and perhaps it's fair.

"When you go ahead so late in the match, you want to get the win, but instead you're left with a bitter taste. If the game ended 1-1, it is what it is. Our performance wasn't such that we absolutely deserved the win."
