Oscar Piastri will be hoping to register his third successive win in the 2025 Formula One World Championship by winning the
Miami Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver was in his element at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on 20 April, the most recent race on the 2025 Formula One World Championship calendar.
Piastri started on the second grid and he went on to win the race ahead of Max Verstappen, which earned him 25 points and achieved his 14th podium in Formula One.
Formula One title ambitions
The 24-year-old is placed at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings, having accumulated 99 points.
Piastri is 10 points ahead of second-placed Lando Norris of McLaren and 12 points clear of third-placed Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing as the battle for the Formula One world title continues.
Why Piastri could win the 2025 Miami Grand Prix
The former Formula Renault, Formula Three, and Formula Two champion is the most in-form driver in Formula One right now, having won the last two races.
Piastri's wins at the Bahrain Grand Prix and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix give him the edge over other drivers coming into this weekend's Miami Grand Prix.
What did he say?
“Very, very happy to have won, that was a tough race! We’ve put a lot of work into our starts recently, and in the end, that’s played a big part in the victory. It was really tricky out there at times, chewing up the tyres, but once we got into clean air it was nice," Piastri said after winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Pix.
"The team did a great job executing the strategy and we did all the parts right that we needed to. We’ve still got work to do, it’s very close at the front, but it’s been a great weekend. We can now turn our attention to working hard at the factory next week before heading to Miami.”
